Who sends these messages

Text messages are sent by Magnolia Village, the private community platform for residents of the Magnolia Village neighborhood near Fort Bragg, North Carolina. They are sent only to residents who have created an account, been verified as living in the neighborhood, and turned on SMS notifications in their account settings. SMS is off by default.

How residents opt in

Magnolia Village is a private, members-only neighborhood platform. The opt-in below is the one and only way residents consent to SMS. Consent is given inside the account after the resident has been verified. There is no other opt-in path: no purchased lists, no third-party data, and no automatic enrollment.

1. A resident creates an account at https://www.magnoliavillagenc.com and is verified as living in the neighborhood by the community admin.
2. The resident opens the Settings page in their account.
3. The resident adds their own mobile number to their profile.
4. The resident turns on the SMS toggle for the notification categories they choose (for example direct messages, event announcements, or general community updates). Each category is a separate, unchecked toggle that the resident must turn on themselves.
5. The opt-in control displays the consent language quoted below, including a link to the Privacy Policy and Terms.

By turning on SMS for a channel, you agree to receive text messages from Magnolia Village for that category, sent to the mobile number on your profile. Message frequency varies. Because the opt-in happens inside a verified resident account, the screenshot below shows the exact SMS opt-in control and consent language as a resident sees it in Settings.

Message frequency varies based on community activity and the categories each resident turns on. Message and data rates may apply.

How to opt out or get help

Residents can reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe from all SMS at any time, or reply HELP for help. Residents can also turn SMS off for any category from the Settings page. Opting in is always optional and is never a condition of using the website.
